Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Astra - City 3-dr hatchHolden modelsClimate Control24 Aug 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON GREAT attention to detail has gone into making the Astra temperature system effective and simple to use. The HVAC system has an integrated pollen filter, which is fully integrated into all the airflow functions and filters recirculated air as well as fresh air. The driver benefits from the use of large rotary dials for fan speed, temperature and air distribution, plus big, tactile buttons for air-conditioning (if fitted), recirculation and rear demist. Meanwhile, all occupants are shown the outside temperature in the dash-mounted multi-function display. Australian requirements prompted the introduction of UV-resistant doorhandles and tinted glass. The optional air-conditioning unit was also optimised for local conditions and a heavy-duty battery (66 Ah) and alternator (120A) are included to cope with Australian air-con requirements. Did you know? The entire HVAC system, from air inlet to foot or face level outlets, has been computer designed for maximum efficiency of flow and weight optimisationAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
