Holden has made incremental improvements to the steering since the VT Commodore was launched in 1997. Front suspension modifications with the VX series brought a more progressive steering response, while a revised tyre construction on VXII models combined with an increased-diameter front stabiliser bar aimed to improve a sharper and more accurate steering feel, particularly on-centre. Audio controls are located on the steering wheel and the steering column adjusts both for reach and height. The turning circle is 11.0 metres and 2.8 turns are needed lock-to-lock.
