Great Wall’s first passenger car, the VX10 light car, will land in Australia by mid 2013 in a bid to win sales at the budget end of the market. The five-door, five-seater will likely be powered by a 70kW 1.5-litre four cylinder petrol engine with the option of a CVT and come with a decent standard features list for the price.

Great Wall is expected to introduce a Corolla-sized three-box C30 sedan to Australia. The C30 rides on a 2610mm wheelbase, has a 510-litre boot and will be powered by an 77kW/138Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Australia's first Chinese vehicle brand, Great Wall Motors (likely to be known in Australia as GWM), will launch Australia’s most affordable dual-cab utility, based on Great Wall’s Sailor. The highly-specified two-wheel drive four-door pick-up, powered by a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, will be priced under $20,000.
