Porsche will launch its first V8 diesel in Australia, when it arrives under the bonnet of the Cayenne SUV. The 281kW/850Nm 4.2-litre bi-turbo engine is sourced from Audi and will propel the car from 0-100km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Fuel economy sits at a respectable 8.3 litres per 100km for the big SUV that looks set to retail from $155,500.

The result is a sprint to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.

The limited-edition 911 Speedster will be sold in Australia in strictly limited numbers, as only 356 will be built. The 300kW 3.8-litre flat-six from the GTS provides power and the wide-bodied, rear-wheel drive Speedster has several exclusive features including a 60mm-lower windscreen and 'double-bubble' hard cover for when the soft-top is stowed.

The 911 Carrera GTS will be available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles and come engine and chassis upgrades compared to the Carrera S on which it is based.
