Model: Exige - S Roadster

Released: Jan 2014

Lotus will launch its fastest ever convertible – the Exige S Roadster - in early 2014. Based on the Exige S Coupe, the Roadster uses the same Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre supercharged V6, pumping out 257.5kW of power and 400Nm of torque for a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.0 seconds.

Released: Mar 2013

In response to the old Exige S falling foul of emissions regulations in some markets, Lotus re-enginered and redesigned the hardcore sportscar to take the 327kW 3.5-litre V6 from its larger Evora S stablemate. The result is one of the quickest production Lotus road cars ever, capable of 0-100km/h in a supercar-troubling 3.8 seconds. Entry to Australia is subject to ADR approval.

Released: Mar 2012

The supercharged Lotus Elise SC will be renamed S to bring it into line with its force-fed Evora and Exige brethren while gaining a more efficient and torquier 1.8-litre supercharged engine. The naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre Elise will gain the option of an automatic transmission dubbed Serial Precision Shift (SPS).

Released: Feb 2012

The flagship Evora will receive a 257kW supercharged version of its Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre V6, as well as a six-speed automatic transmission option for the standard normally aspirated 206kW V6 model. A new ‘sport’ mode will sharpen the car's reflexes by raising the rev limit, activating an exhaust bypass, honing the throttle response and adjusting the ESC settings.

Lotus Cars Australia has announced a $162,990 starting price for its all-new range-topping Evora coupe. The $169,990 2+2 version – the world’s only four-seater mid-engined coupe – is claimed to offer child seat capability as well as a 160-litre boot. Evora is powered by Toyota’s alloy 3.5-litre V6 engine.
