Maserati will drop its point of entry with a new Levante variant, lowering the pricetag to $125,000 plus on-road costs. The Levante 350 uses the Ferrari-built twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 from the Levante S, with outputs dialled down from 316kW/580Nm to 257kW/500Nm.

Maserati’s 5 Series baiting Ghibli sedan finally arrives in April, after strong global demand pushed its local launch back by several months. The mini-Quattroporte will be powered by a pair of V6 engines, but there is no word yet on whether the diesel, Maserati’s first, will make it Down Under.

Italian sports-car brand Maserati will launch its next-generation larger, yet lighter Quattroporte in the third quarter of the year with a new entry-level V6 model to kick off the range. A 390kW 3.8-litre V8 will be the flagship but it is the 301kW 3.0-litre V6 with a 5.1 second 0-100km/h sprint time that is getting all the attention.

Maserati's six-generation Quattroporte is set to arrive down under in January, along with its top-spec GTS. Powered by a twin-turbo V8, the Maserati is set to take on the likes of Porsche's Panamera and the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG.

Released: May 2011

The racetrack-ready GranTurismo MC Stradale will be more expensive than the $318,500 GranTurismo S coupe upon which it is based. Lighter in weight and offering a more powerful 336kW version of the 4.7-litre Ferrari-derived V8 that powers the standard GranTurismo, the MC is likely to complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds, easily making it the quickest Maserati production car.

Maserati’s first ever four-seater convertible the GranCabrio , has the longest wheelbase of any convertible on the market, which should deliver class-leading rear legroom for occupants of the two “proper” rear seats. MASERATI has revealed its rejuvenated Italian brand’s all-new flagship model, the GranTurismo coupe. Due to make its global public premiere at the Geneva motor show, with an Australian on sale timing early 2008. The GranTurismo is a full-sized four-seater grand touring coupe motivated by a 303kW 4.2-litre V8, mated to an adaptive automatic transmission.

Released: Jun 2004

Maserati's answer to the German luxury saloon domination is the Quattroporte. The Pininfarina-shaped four-door premiered at the 2003 Frankfurt show and is expected to sell here from June, 2004, at around $300,000. Australia will get just 30 examples of the 298kW V8, most of which are already sold.
