Subaru claims its new XV Hybrid AWD will deliver up to a 14 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency over the equivalent petrol model on the urban cycle and a 7.0 per cent improvement on the combined cycle.

Using the same system as the smaller XV, Subaru says the new Forester Hybrid will offer fuel efficiency improvements of up to 19 per cent on the urban cycle and 9.0 per cent on the combined cycle.
