New generation Mitsubishi one-tonne ute arrives with revamped 2.4-litre twin-turbo diesel engine and auto only. New body and interior, upgraded ADAS, more kit, improved towing capacity, 2WD and 4WD dual-cab versions available initially. Price rises to match competition.

The Triton’s MY22.5 range incorporates an around-view monitor and smartphone-mirroring on GSR-, plus a larger infotainment screen and digital radio on turbo-diesel-engined GLX versions.  

Set to receive its second update in eight months, Mitsubishi’s hot-selling Triton ute is in line for another specification bump to keep it fresh against its ever-improving rivals.

The new Triton pick-up will hit showrooms in January, sporting a big lift to safety and standard in-car comfort features, as well as suspension tweaks and dramatic new exterior styling.
