Possibly the last hurrah for the current generation Subaru Forester, the STI Sport has styling and suspension tweaks, is based on the Forester 2.5i S AWD. No engine performance or driveline upgrades are offered over donor vehicle.

A special edition, spec-adjusted variant based on the regular 2.5i model that appears to have been commissioned to help overcome supply chain constraints. Initial deliveries expected to commence in time for Christmas priced from $37,890 + ORC.

Additional 2023 Forester stock has arrived for delivery during the fourth quarter of 2022 and may be in showrooms by October. The update is barely noticeable, however, with the only real point of difference being a $1900 price increase. The range kicks off at $37,890 plus ORCs.

Subaru has gifted its mid-sized Forester SUV a new face, tweaked suspension and a heap of extra tech.

Using the same system as the smaller XV, Subaru says the new Forester Hybrid will offer fuel efficiency improvements of up to 19 per cent on the urban cycle and 9.0 per cent on the combined cycle.

Subaru’s top-selling Forester will receive a complete makeover, as the Japanese car-maker attempts to put it back among the SUV segment leaders.
