Model: Aurion

Released: Sep 2009

Toyota is expected to introduce its facelifted Aurion range in September 2009. The revised Aurion is likely to include new headlights, different grille and front bumper and revised tail-light lenses, and fresh wheel covers. Engine & transmission will be unchanged.

Make: Kia

Model: Cerato

Released: Sep 2009

Kia is expected to add a Cerato-based coupe to its range in 2009, similar to two-door concept shown at the 2008 New York motor show. It will be based an all-new platform, but engines and transmissions are likely to carry-over form the sedan and hatch range.

Make: Subaru

Model: Liberty

Released: Sep 2009

Subaru will play it safe from a design perspective with its new Liberty. Based on an all-new platform, it maintains a similar look with bold headlights and pumped-out wheel arches. It will be available with a full suite of engines, including naturally aspirated and turbocharged four-cylinders and a 3.6-litre six.

Make: Holden

Model: Commodore

Released: Sep 2009

Holden will introduce two new Melbourne-made V6 engines to its VE/VM MY10 range, using Spark Ignition Direct Injection (SIDI) technology – the entry-level 190kW 3.0-litre and a new premium 210kW 3.6-litre V6. Both powertrains deliver improved drivability, and fuel savings of up to 12 per cent.

Model: E Series 2 - range

Released: Sep 2009

Holden Special Vehicles will launch a facelifted version of its E Series range in late 2009. With claims of a major reduction in fuel consumption and a power increase to its 6.2-litre V8 engine range. HSV says the “multi-million dollar” upgrade will comprise of major visual differentiation, and a number of driver enhancements.

Make: FPV

Model: GS

Released: Sep 2009

FPV will launch a limited-edition GS model in late 2009. Rumors speculate a cut-price V8-powered addition sitting below the FPV GT. With a set of GS decals and a 302 badge, (suggesting 302kW of power) on the rear wing, and also featuring four-piston Brembo caliper brakes, on existing FPV alloy wheels.

Make: Toyota

Model: LandCruiser 200

Released: Sep 2009

Toyota’s upgraded 200 Series LandCruiser gains as standard equipment a 45-litre sub-tank, rear-view camera, crawl control for the diesel models, a 12-Volt socket in the rear and a 3.5mm audio input jack. The VX and Sahara models now come with a new five-spoke 18-inch diameter alloy wheels.

Make: Mini

Model: Cooper

Released: Sep 2009

BMW-owned British brand Mini will launch a JCW version of the Mini Cabrio in late 2009. Priced from $56,990, and powered by a 155kW iteration of the BMW Group’s 1.6-litre twin-scroll turbo four. The JCW Cabrio comes as standard with a six-speed manual transmission with a claimed 0-100km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds.

Model: LandCruiser 70

Released: Sep 2009

Toyota is expected to launch an update of its 70 series range, from Troop Carrier wagon, cab-chassis utility and five-door/five-seat wagon models in 2009. The addition of ABS and airbags as standard or optional equipment is likely to be adopted.

Make: Porsche

Model: Panamera

Released: Sep 2009

Porsche's first four-door sedan, the Panamera will target four-door luxury sports cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Maserati Quattroporte. With a wide range of engines – from a range-topping V10 to a petrol-electric hybrid version, the front-engined Panamera will be Porsche’s fourth model line.

Make: FPV

Model: F6 - E

Released: Sep 2009

After revealing in concept guise at the Melbourne motor show, FPV has released the production version of its turbocharged F6 E luxury sedan. Combining the 310kW turbocharged 4.0-litre inline six of the F6, with the same luxurious accoutrements as found in the GT E.
