Model: H9

Released: Jan 2018

Haval is set to release an upgraded version of it's large SUV – the H9 – boasting more grunt, updated safety tech and tweaked styling. Power output from the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine jumps from 160kW/324Nm up to 180kW/350Nm, while the claimed fuel consumption drops from 12.1L/100km to 11.0L/100km.

Make: Suzuki

Model: Swift - Sport

Released: Jan 2018

Now with turbocharged power, the all-new Suzuki Swift Sport is set to be a genuine contender in the hot hatch segment. Its 1.4-litre engine will pump out 103kW and 230Nm, enabling sprightly performance.

Make: Mitsubishi

Model: Eclipse Cross

Released: Jan 2018

Mitsubishi’s new Eclipse Cross small SUV will hit showrooms initially in two variants; the exclusively front-wheel-drive LS, and the front-wheel- or all-wheel-drive flagship Exceed. Pricing will start at $30,500 and $38,500 respectively.

Model: Odyssey

Released: Jan 2018

The seven-seat Honda Odyssey has received a handful of small updates for 2018, with the Japanese people-mover to start from $37,990 for the entry-level VTi.

Make: Holden Special Vehicles

Model: Colorado - SportCat

Released: Jan 2018

The Colorado SportCat will be released in January starting at $60,790 plus on-roads for the standard model and $66,790 for the up-spec SportCat+. Both variants are powered by a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder that produces 147kW and 500Nm (automatic). The HSV pick-up is set to rival the likes of the Ford Ranger Wildtrack and the Toyota HiLux SR5.

Model: Navara

Released: Jan 2018

Nissan will give its D23 Navara its second major overhaul in February, with a focus on further honing suspension calibration, in the hope that it will get a sales boost that could see it return top-three best sellers alongside the Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger.

Model: XF - Sportbrake

Released: Jan 2018

Jaguar will expand its XF range in January to include the Sportbrake wagon, which will be offered with three powertrains consisting of two diesel and one petrol, as well as including a limited Launch Edition variant.

Make: Audi

Model: Q7 - e-tron

Released: Jan 2018

Audi will bring its first plug-in hybrid Q7 large SUV to market in the first quarter, with the Q7 e-tron priced from $139,900 plus on-roads. It teams a 190kW/600Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 to a 94kW/350Nm electric motor for a combined output of 275kW/700Nm.
