A medium-large off-roader in two variants, the Tank 500 has seven seats and is dimensionally larger than Prado while also featuring body-on-frame construction. Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with hybrid assistance (255kW/648Nm) through a nine-speed auto.

Yaris Cross scores a mild makeover for ‘24, gifting the model with updated technologies and the latest suite of Toyota Safety Sense systems – and removing petrol-powered models from the range – which in now all-hybrid. It gains a facelifted look inside and out, and a modest price rise.

Yaris hatch range is now hybrid-only available in three grades with Toyota’s latest multimedia and Safety Sense systems alongside minor styling tweaks. Mechanically, the range remains available with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol-electric hybrid and CVT combination.

Comprehensively overhauled, more powerful, and more stylish in both petrol and plug-in hybrid configurations. The MY24 Panamera is expected to be the final model to offer petrol and petrol-electric power with an all-electric model due in showrooms before the end of the decade.

Deliveries of the 408 GT Fastback plug-in hybrid (PHEV) have commenced ahead of schedule, but supply is fully allocated. Demonstrator vehicles are now available for customer test drives. The fastback PHEV “stands out from the crowd,” says Peugeot.

Nine-year-old MX-5 ND series is upgraded with a focus on track driving and increased connectivity. Changes to external lighting are evident, while the manual gearbox scores a DSC-Track mode optimised for circuit driving in concert with a newly developed limited slip diff.

It’s farewell petrol V6 hello 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder for the Jeep Wrangler that also scores a price drop along with technology and safety equipment upgrades. The four pot is more efficient and torquier than its V6 predecessor. Wrangler’s most significant update in six years.

Incoming 1.9-litre turbo-diesel MU-X offers Isuzu buyers more choice and more range, with the MY24 MU-X line-up now encompassing nine variants and two engine offerings: the new 1.9-litre joining the carryover 3.0-litre turbo-diesel to mirror that offered in the D-Max ute.
